Dog racing is a very popular sport in the UK. Once associated
with the working classes, it is now enjoyed by people from
all walks of life. This is thanks largely to many greyhound
stadia greatly improving their facilities and making efforts
to attract a wider clientele.
I
have been greyhound racing on many occasions and find it
a thrilling sport to watch. Races occur every ten minutes
or so, meaning that there is always action. You can watch
either trackside, or on many TVs showing the live action.
Greyhound racing is a very community orientated sport,
and there is often a real family feel around the track.
If you like greyhounds you can even apply to home a retired
racing dog!
If
you want to go out and experience the joys of dog racing,
there are dozens of race tracks around the UK, please visit
the dog race tracks link to the left of the page
to find the closest one to you.
